In no particular order for detest nor adoration
1. The Couple. Girlfriends forces Boyfriend to make an account so they could smother the world with their love story.
2. The Playboy. Friendliness is his excuse but, come on, okay. We all know you’re here to be friendly. (;D)
3. The Attention Whore. Constantly posts photos about her dinner, her new dress and her just-woke-up look so people could tell her how hot and pretty and cute she is. Honey, just, stop.
4. The Bisexual Hipster. Makes you wonder if what they tweet is a song, line from a book or an over-thought-of phrase for “I’m tired and hungry and horny.”
5. The Baby. Well, apparently, the world needs to know about all your problems. Keep whining. Oh, and thanks for being subtle about who made you cry.
6. The Preacher. I think God would appreciate it if you prayed to Him rather than tweet your thanks. As much as I hate to spoil your beliefs, God doesn’t have a Twitter account.
7. The Loner. Doesn’t have enough friends outside the cyberworld, tries to be funny and popular online instead. (And sometimes, still no friends.)
8. The Celebrity. Oh, you don’t fucking say you just woke up 3 minutes ago and then say you’re getting up now. I bet you’ll be tweeting about how dehydrated your pee looks like in your next tweet and how you had a great bath and how yummy your breakfast was and oh, how you’re “off to (insert place here)” EVERY SINGLE DAY! I mean come on already!
9. The Hashtag Abuser. Could not possibly make a short hashtag, or an appropriate one for that matter. Why can’t some people understand that it’s not always about the hashtag!
10. The Stalker. 491 Following, 27 Followers, 0 Tweets.
;) No pun intended! Just pure observation. Share (and continue) if you must!
- Pam :)
Huuuuuh. Natalie Portman! You’re a major factor why these rants are funny!

I’ve had my share of unsuccessful weight loss programs with gym subscriptions, dance classes, sports activities and everything just went thumbs down. Lol. But last year, in an insincere urge to go on a diet, I actually lost weight the fastest.
This is just to share all that I kept in mind to lose what I didn’t want to keep in my body :D
Diet without exercise is never gonna work. Remember that your diet should not mean skinnier, it should mean healthier and fit.
Exercise to increase your metabolism. Because metabolism is key to faster weight loss.
Hydrate. Water should be your best friend and your weapon. Hydrate to avoid water retention and for proper supply of oxygen throughout your muscle groups. On average, a person needs about 2 liters of water in a day. What I did was get a tumbler enough for 1 liter so it’s easier for me to know how much I’ve already had.
Sugar ain’t so sweet. Yes, it’s on repeat. You have to avoid sugar but not totally remove it. Your body still needs it (also salt and fat) but remember to consume only those that have lower glycemic levels so your blood sugar level is retained to the “fat burning zone.” Higher glycemic levels increase your blood sugar to the “fat storage zone” since you produce more insulin which signals your body to store in fat. And after a high, it drops to a low low which is the “fat craving zone” making you feel hungry and causing you to eat more. Fruits, vegetables, natural sweeteners like honey are excellent sources of sugar that’s a-okay to keep you burning.
To make things easier, avoid everything that comes in a box or anything that has a label on it. Even drinks that say they help you burn fat with L-Carnitine or whole wheat bread that say they’re the healthier option. Anything that is processed usually have higher glycemic levels. (Think: rice is still better than bread or pasta) Not only that, it’s doesn’t let your liver do its work. See, your liver has to breakdown processed food and nutrients but it always does the breakdown first. So if you consume more of processed food, your liver will already be too exhausted to breakdown the natural ones giving you less nutrients for your metabolism therefore slowing it down.
Color your plate with natural ones, reds, greens. Starchy colors especially from bread or pasta mean more sugar or processed ingredients. So, no-no.
Calorie counting doesn’t really help. It’s a matter of eating what’s natural and what’s right for you to burn fat, not crave for more.
It’s not true that you should avoid eating what you love. There’s always a natural alternative for everything that comes in a box!
Warm water is always better. Since it’s much more similar to your body’s temperature, it’s easier for digestion and distribution of oxygen. It saves your body the time and energy to warm up whatever you take in that’s cold.
Heaviest is for breakfast. Basic logic. Eating heavy lunch only adds up to what you already had for breakfast that you haven’t burned yet. So never miss breakfast and makes sure it’s heavy so you’re kept fuelled for the day.
Eat only when you’re hungry except breakfast. If you could check, try drinking water first. Sometimes, it’s hard for us to distinguish hunger from thirst.
Eat slowly. Not only because food chewed better is easier to digest but also because it takes about 20 minutes for our body to realize we’re already full. Crash meals, as in those full ones finshed in 5 minutes or less, usually are twice as much as what we really are hungry for. You’ll be surprised at how much less you’ll be consuming.
Keep your heart rate up in exercise! This speeds up your metabolism and also gives you a better supply of oxygen since your blood flow is faster. So it’s always best to do cardio activities before doing exercises since it ups your heart rate. But the optimal rate differs per person, depending on age, weight, height. Check online for heart rate charts.
Give rest times a rest. Resting in between reps or exercises slows down your heart rate. So give it a limit of 10 to 15 seconds only!
Isolate isolation. There’s no such thing as “make my tummy smaller cause I’m already okay with my arms.” To lose weight and keep fit, you have to exercise all your muscle groups. Compound exercises are nice ones to keep more muscle moving, more movement and heart rate, better metabolism, more fat burn. Get the idea?
Breathe in your nose and breathe out your mouth. Proper breathing keeps you feeling sane, trust me. During exercise, whenever you’re getting ready for a muscle pull, that’s when you breathe in. For example, when doing crunches, inhale when you’re on your back and slowly breathe out when you’re crunching.
Engage your core all the time! Whatever exercise you’re doing, even if you’re just warming up, stretching or cooling down, doing your triceps, whatever! Engaging your core helps in strength and proper posture.
Because proper posture means proper exercise. Some of us experience pain, which is good but only if it is in the right areas. Then again, no pain at all means you’re doing it all wrong. It’s true what they say that if you’re still pretty after a workout, chances are you did it all wrong.
Don’t frontload. When going on a diet or exercising, don’t make your first day a punishment for all the overeating or slacking off you did. Do it gradually.
Don’t procrastinate even for a day. Chances are you’ll think about how you ruined your program and lose appetite for getting back up.
Off days are there. We can’t deny that. But limit your off days (or weeks, months, years) to a maximum of seven days! Any longer will prolong slacking off.
Level it up. Sticking to your regular sets and reps won’t let you lose any more. Yes it might help you shed off a few pounds but after that, at least at a few reps or a few pounds on weights. Then again, if you’re not really for weight loss, I guess it’s okay.
The Scale might not always be your bestfriend. Lighter doesn’t mean healthier. So yes, while working out, your muscle will build mass making you heavier. That’s okay. As long you’re burning excess fat.
Attitude. No diet or exercise or weight loss is possible without the proper push or attitude towards a healthier lifestyle. It’s not always about being “skinny” or “ramp model material.” It’s about being physically fit your whole life to avoid complications so you could age gracefully :)
Yeah, so there. I’m no gym expert or health guru or some jedi. These were just observations and research (do your own, too) from the diet I did. And it worked for me. (Read: Disclaimer)
Hope this helps ;)
